Managing Stress With Meditation
Join Stef Bourke, Meditation and Alignment Coach for this 90-minute workshop based on managing the stress in your life.
We don’t get to control the things that happen in our lives, but we can control the way we respond to them. What if you had tools in your toolkit that would help you feel more empowered, balanced and clear in times of stress?
During the workshop we will:
– Identify what causes us stress
– Differentiate the kinds of stress that impacts our lives
– Learn how to recognize stress in the body
– Experiment with meditation and mindfulness tools to influence our body and mind’s stress response
– Explore tools that you can incorporate into your daily life to keep stress levels lower

Date Night: Love Flow
strengthen your bond with your significant other and have some fun along the way!
Carrie Taylor will assist couples in discovering how to fill each other’s ‘love tanks’ with the exploration of their love languages. We will then venture into some acts of service as we participate in some partner yoga. Don’t fret if you’ve never tried yoga before; this aspect of the experience is meant to be fun!
This offering will wrap up with some breathwork techniques that will reinforce the bonds of trust and connection between you. You will leave calm, relaxed and undoubtedly your relationship will be enhanced, regardless of how long the two of you have been together.
This is a private class for one couple. Please register both partners in the class.

Let’s spread kindness together! Join us at this FREE event for everyone – all ages welcome.
Join our efforts to spread kindness throughout the Quinte region by painting rocks with loving words, quotes, intentions and beautiful designs.
Each of us will send our rocks out into the city to find their way into the lives of those who need them. Perhaps they are placed randomly to be found unexpectedly. Or maybe they are gifted intentionally to lift the spirits of someone we know who needs it. However they are shared, they will have the same desired effect, to bring about a smile, to lift a weary heart, and to be a reminder of all that is good.
You don’t need special skills to paint a rock and infuse it with love. You just need the intent to be kind and in service to others.
So join us! The music will be playing, the paint will be flowing, and the joy will be infectious.

Gentle Hatha | 5-Weeks

All Yoga is based on Hatha Yoga. Hatha yoga will allow you to develop ease, comfort, strength, and flexibility over time in both mind and body.
This Gentle Hatha series is a slow class to be enjoyed by yogis with a range of yoga abilities from new yogis who want to learn the fundamental poses in yoga to seasoned yogis who are craving a gentle practice.
In these classes, we move in and out of poses (asanas) mindfully, with detailed focus on safe alignment and breath (pranayama), while honouring your own individual needs, level of experience and personal limitations.

Yoga Strong | 5-Weeks
Join AnnMarie Wolf for this strengthening yoga practice.
The Yoga Strong practice is a coordinated series of challenging, slow-moving, controlled muscle-building workouts. It’s everything we need in a yoga class to help improve mobility while toning and shaping muscle.
Yoga, by itself, doesn’t make us strong enough for essential life vitality. As we age, we naturally lose muscle mass and with it the ability to do the things we want to be able to do for the rest of our life. But you don’t have to lose that muscle mass!
When you build muscle, your body naturally burns more glucose, even at rest; increases bone density; and demonstrates more muscle definition. As you get stronger you will also notice that your balance improves. Strength training doesn’t just enhance the benefits of yoga, it also increases a yogi’s ability to achieve challenging poses and perform daily activities with less fatigue.

Full Moon Restorative & Sound
Join Carrie Taylor and Stef Bourke for this full moon restorative yoga and sound experience.
This is your opportunity take a break from doing for others to allow yourself the opportunity to rest and be nurtured in We Thrive’s cozy studio.
Full moons are great gateways to create change in our lives, they are powerful tools for letting go of unwanted energy and cleansing and releasing what doesn’t serve us anymore.
During this Full Moon Restorative Circle you will be guided to create openings in both your body and mind to allow for your dreams to take root and be charged by the light of the full moon.
In this session, we’ll come together in circle for a full moon release practice with crystals. We will follow Carrie through an incredibly nurturing restorative yoga practice that was designed to facilitate release during the full moon, and we will go deep with the soft sounds of crystal singing bowls, voice and a guided meditation with Stef.
Restorative yoga is a restful practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. During our practice you may hardly move at all, doing just a few postures over the course of an hour. No yoga experience necessary.
A Sound Bath is a deeply-immersive, full-body listening experience that intentionally uses sound to invite gentle yet powerful therapeutic and restorative processes to nurture your mind and body.

Yin & Meditation
If you’ve tried to meditate and wound up feeling frustrated, disappointed or stuck, taking a Yin approach can help. Join Certified Yoga Teacher AnnMarie Wolf and Certified Meditation Coach Stef Bourke for this 7-week deep dive into meditation and yin yoga.
Why combine Yin Yoga and Meditation?
Yin yoga facilitates the harmonious flow of chi in the body, which can make meditation more accessible. As we relax in Yin yoga, we make space for any unresolved issues stored in our bodies to surface. When we couple this practice with meditation, we learn to navigate these emotions with skillful compassion, which creates space for healing and a deeper peace in the body. When you combine Yin Yoga and meditation, you open up powerful opportunities for change and healing on all levels of your being, including your body, mind, and heart and spirit.

Lunchtime Yinstorative Yoga
End your work week and begin your weekend with a soothing Friday lunchtime Yinstorative Yoga class.
Take a half hour break at the end of your busy week to slow down, feel your breath, and let go of unnecessary eff ort with a gentle class that blends restorative, and yin poses.
Yinstorative applies the restorative philosophy to Yin poses by propping them more to allow longer held very restful poses thereby applying passive healing that enables the calming of the “fight, flight, freeze “stress response of the sympathetic nervous system and activates the parasympathetic “rest, digest, healing” part of the nervous system.
Energetically, this is a time for softness and reflection. A time to quiet things down so you can listen to your own inner voice, wisdom, and set our intentions with mindfulness and integrity.
