Mindful Kids is a 5-week hands-on series that teaches mindfulness skills to children, aged 5-10.
Mindful Tweens and Teens focuses on mindfulness skills for those aged 11-16.
This is an innovative and groundbreaking program in the Quinte area, facilitated by Alicia Preston, an experienced Educational Assistant and owner of Mindful Kids Hastings.
Learning mindfulness techniques at a young age sets forward a path of assuredness, good decision-making, emotional maturity and self-confidence – as children learn the life skills of dealing with distraction, overwhelm, anxiety and uncertainty.
When children bring more mindfulness into their daily routine, the result is increased self-regulation, decreased stress at home and school, and boosted self esteem.
