Mindful Tweens/Teens Series 2 (ages 11-16)

This 5-week series is a continuation of Series 1* (However, children who have not taken Series 1 are welcome to join this series and take Series 1 after)

Adding more tools to your child’s mindfulness toolbox, this second series will further enhance your child’s ability to find balance, peace, and calm.

This 5-week series will continue to teach your child how to bring more mindfulness into their daily routine, resulting in increased self-regulation. Kids will learn how to tame big emotions and be given the tools to help them understand the way that their minds, bodies, and breath work together for boosted feel-good energy. Kids Yoga will promote the foundational principles of “adult” yoga with the added element of fun! We will dance, laugh, sing and move our way through a magical yoga adventure, journeying through mindfulness games and tools, stories and songs that encourage: compassion towards self and others, increased self-esteem and confidence, mindful listening, mindful breathing, coordination and movement, connection and inclusion. There will be laughter, smiles, ah-ha moments and lots of fun here!

Kids Yoga will promote the foundational principles of “adult” yoga with the added element of fun! We will dance, laugh, sing and move our way through a magical yoga adventure, journeying through mindfulness games and tools, stories and songs that encourage: positive body awareness, mindful breathing, coordination and movement, mindful listening and connection and inclusiveness.

Week 3: Mind the Music – Mindful Listening and Mindful Breathing
Week 4: Finger Mantras and Mindful Spaces – Mindful Emotions
Week 5: Movement in Nature – Mindful Movement and Things That Make You Go MMMMM…Mindful Eating
