August Only: Join us for Mommy and Me yoga Drop Ins! Our Registered instructor Sarah Whiteman will inspire you and your child to bond together in a unique, fun yet calming way that will help you get back to your body, and at the same time foster a love for exercise and healthy habits in your child.
How do I do yoga WITH my child? Depending on your child’s age and independence, you will vary between working side by side on your yoga postures and incorporating them in some partner poses which will help fuel your connection to one another (and help your muscles build strength!) Classes are a bit lighter in mood than traditional yoga classes, but our goals remain focused on building strength, balancing, breathing and flexibility.
Why should I try yoga with my child? For mothers, studies suggest that yoga can reduce blood pressure, back pain and feelings of depression. Children can benefit from better sleep and elevated mood. You can both enjoy a boosted immune system and lowered risk for arthritis, diabetes and heart disease.
