The Gathering: Building Community in the Digital Age

Throughout time, women have naturally understood the value in gathering together and turning to one another for support and community. At She Thrives, we hold space for women to do this regularly.
In the work that we do, we have experienced firsthand how transformation and healing happens organically when women feel listened to, validated and supported by a community that cares for them.
For the next ten months, we invite women to join us, once a month, for an evening of conversation and exploration of topics meant to cultivate collective healing and sisterhood.
TOPIC OF AUGUST GATHERING: Building Community in the Digital Age
The rise of social media and technology has changed who we consider to be our neighbour. Neighbours were once the people who lived in close proximity to you, but connections through technology have created a global community of neighbors! Join us as we discuss the opportunities and challenges that exist as we redefine and adapt ourselves to connect and build community in the digital age.

*Please bring a donated item for The Purse Project – an initiative created to distribute gently used purses filled with great stuff to women who need them! We are collecting toiletries, socks, hats and mitts, unused lipsticks, new undies, feminine hygiene products, and gently used purses for this worthy cause!
