The Way We Glow- Creative Writing Workshop

June 26, 2018 at 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

$22

Creativity is one of the greatest qualities any of us could be blessed with, yet many never allow their true creativity to be expressed.  Join author and poet Abena Beloved Green on June 26, to express your creativity through the exploration of The Way You Glow. No creative writing experience is necessary.

This workshop will guide you to find your ‘glowing moments’ to call upon in times of discouragement uncertainty or to bolster your spirits and increase momentum. We will work with poetic prompts and share in communion to support one another through this creative process.

Throughout this workshop, you will learn two writing excercises which will stimulate creative juices and serve as prompts for future writing. You will learn a process by which you can replace negative stories and labels with empowering ones and develop a personal affirmation. You will draft a prose or poem that you can keep or build on.

Sometimes all you need is a nudge in the direction of creative expression, to unlock potential that you didn’t even know you had.
