When the pelvic floor muscles are not working quite right, we can experience many different physical symptoms that are very common and can be very debilitating. From low back and hip pain to urinary leakage, painful intercourse and pelvic organ prolapse, these can all be improved by finding more connection with your pelvic floor, core and breath.
The Yoga for Pelvic Health practice is focused on finding optimal posture and movement of the pelvis, hip joints and low back as well as the involvement of the pelvic floor and diaphragm as core stabilizer muscles. This allows us to find a balance of strength, stability and mobility of the pelvis, hips and low back for a life time of improved comfort and function in our every day lives.

Leslie Richards is a Physiotherapist and Yoga Teacher who combines her two practices to provide patients with personalized treatment plans. She has been practicing as a Physiotherapist for 13 years in Orthopedics and Sports Injury Clinics, Long Term Care Facilities, and in the community. She has recently focused her practice on Pelvic Health and Orthopedics, with a special interest in Women’s Health and Yoga Physiotherapy.
