Join us for this 8-week Yoga for Pelvic Health series with Physiotherapist and Yoga Teacher, Leslie Richards.
The Yoga for Pelvic Health practice is focused on finding optimal posture, mobility and stability of the pelvis, hips and low back. We also focus on the complete core system, including the pelvic floor and diaphragm as core muscles. This allows us to find a balance of strength, stability and mobility for a lifetime of improved comfort and function.
After completing Yoga for Pelvic Health (Level 1), you may want to further explore and build a stronger connection with your pelvic floor muscles, breath and core system.
Yoga for Pelvic Health (Level 2) is an 8-class series where we put our core connection to use in more upright postures and functional flows. We will have an opportunity for discussion at the beginning of each class, followed by a yoga practice designed to focus on our posture, mobility and complete core connection.
MEET YOUR TEACHER:
Leslie Richards is a Physiotherapist and Yoga Teacher who combines her two practices to provide patients with personalized treatment plans. She has been practicing as a Physiotherapist for 15 years in Orthopedics and Sports Injury Clinics, Long Term Care Facilities, and in the community. She has recently focused her practice on Pelvic Health and Orthopedics, with a special interest in Women’s Health and Yoga Physiotherapy.
